Good #4 and Not-So-Good #3: Christmas and Overseas Filipino Workers

Many Filipinos have decided to look for higher paying jobs abroad. But this is all because of our love for family and Christmas in the Philippines. It's like no place on earth.



At the same time, this video shows American marketing tactics in full effect. I and most Filipinos like Coca-Cola, though, even if it's not exactly good for health. I should say I also like Pop Cola and Sarsi just as much.

Good #1: The Philippines

What better way to start off this blog by posting a similarly titled video on YouTube, from apparently a young French man who spent 4 months in the Philippines as a foreign exchange student. It's still just a glimpse though on the many good things you can find and experience in the Philippines. If you click the link on the video, you can read what the creator of this video said:

This video is a patchwork of shots I have taken in the Philippines from January to April 2011. I went there to study as an exchange student in Manila.

My stay there allowed me to travel to many places like Bohol, Batad, Baguio, Batad, Angeles, the Pinatubo Volcano, Batangas, Cebu and more...

I'll miss the Philippines, the curiosity of their inhabitants, the beauty of the landscapes and my crazy life there.

But we will also feature the bad. That would include some not so nice things about the Filipino personality, or probably the bad influences, ugly architecture, fashion, or art, bad practices, and so on.

Here we will show the good side of the Philippines. That would include natural wonders, sumptuous food, heartwarming personality traits, wonderful architecture, amazing art work, sensuous fashion, historical places, and so on.
